Braided polymer lines and ribbons typically fall between the twisted conductors and the solid wires in terms of shock-carrying capacity, but are lighter and more resilient to repeated spooling and unspooling.

To be effective, the energizer must have a sufficient joule output rating for the amount of conductor(s) and grounding it will be energizing in the environment where you are using it. Check your energizer’s joule output at least twice per year, and more frequently if you live in cold conditions.
